Happy New Year

21 December 2010

Winter Solstice – Full Moon – Lunar Eclipse – Dec 21 2010 in North America

Today’s Winter Solstice (Summer in the South) doesn’t occur on a weekday. It occurs between weekdays.  This allows the remaining 52 weeks to be divided evenly into 13 months (each of 4 weeks, as pictured above), or 4 quarters (each of 13 weeks, pictured here).

It’s a better system for everyone. Imagine, if you make payments, or better yet, are paid, on a weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule, these coincide, creating a regular economic rhythm. We would no longer have to negotiate weekly payments with those every 28, 29, 30 or 31 days. Doo-lang Doo-lang.

Have a happy new year, and start celebrating early.

theAbysmal Countdown continues for another trip around the Sun

Lucky us! theAbysmal New Year falls on the Solstice which happens to be at the Full Moon this year. Indeed, it is a very merry time to celebrate the brief light in the darkness (at least in the Northern Hemisphere).
