and so it goes

the calendar’s momentum carries on.

So now that theAbysmal Calendar is done, is underway, there’s not much left for me to blog about – not  here at any rate. So I think I’ll abandon theAbysmal to posting calendar pages and so forth, and leave my rambling pontifications to another site (I can have more than one, no?)

For those of you who have offered their support, their interest, their comments, and their insights, my most heartfelt thanks and gratitude, for this is nothing if not a collaborative project.

I’ve asked a graphic designer friend of mine to help out with the wall calendar – unfortunate timing but so it goes – I expect to have something lovely available for putting on a wall. And I hope by the end of Year 0 to have some kind of date calculator-converter available online. This will be a most interesting year.

I have to admit that the last year pre-Abysmal has ended in a far better place than it began. Here’s hoping that the spiral continues every upwards as it continues onwards.

Chromatic: Year 0 Lunation 0 Day 2
Lunar: Year 0 Lunation 0 Day 10
Annual: Year 0 Month 0 Day 1 Sunday

Of course you can have more than one, just make sure you tell us (probably a couple of times for slow people like me ;)

You know where my code is if you can get someone to make you a WP module :) It can also be used to make a Gregorian-theAbysmal converter but not back the other way yet. I actually have one which I can send to you, though if you want to put it on a website it will need form validation first as it’s extremely basic (I used it mainly to write the converter thingi on my blog and afterward to timeline my animation project). If it doesn’t get done sooner I’ll try to get onto it the next breather I have :P

Thank you for all your hard work on the calendar!

it’s not top of my priority list, to be honest, and I am very excited that you’ve decided to take it upon yourself. It’s really out of my league (hence why I have a disastrously huge excel file with dates for different calendar systems – don’t even want to think of how many hours it took me to sort out lunar months – I realize a scrape of websites is something that is done, but I’m still stuck in my ancient ways of scribbling on paper and don’t mind all that much).

anyway, if it would help at all to have the excel file to sort out lunar months, as I’ve mentioned, I’d be happy to send it to you.

      all the best
      >P
